She Moved Away From Home

This piece is ready to start painting.  It is based on a little photograph of my Great Grandmother, Erma, and what few stories I have heard about her.  She grew up in a small town on the border of Utah and Idaho.  As a young woman, she left home and followed her sister further west.  She eventually settled and raised her family across the bay from San Francisco. It is a really tiny piece, only 5 x 7 inches.  I had to go buy some extra tiny paint brushes to help with all the tiny details.
